Professional Hedge Cutting in Princes Risborough, Thame and the Surrounding Areas

Altom Tree Care Ltd is a company of tree surgeons with over 50 years of combined experience as specialists in hedge cutting. No matter how big your shrubs or hedges are, we have the equipment to carry out the task to the highest standard of workmanship. Whether using telescopic pruning equipment or professional hedge trimmers, we have the necessary training and experience to handle any job.

If needed, we can also use mobile elevated work platforms and cherry pickers to cut hedges around Watlington, Thame, Princes Risborough and the surrounding areas we cover.

Our expert personnel trim hedges, bushes and shrubs to your exact specifications, transforming unkempt gardens into works of art. For ongoing hedge maintenance, ask us about our garden maintenance contracts.

Our Hedge Cutting Services

Whether for domestic residences, private woodland estates, paddocks or fields, well-established hedges require regular maintenance in order to remain dense and compact. If left to grow wild, hedges can quickly become sparse, spindly and full of gaps. Not only does this affect your level of privacy, but it also reduces a hedge’s ability to filter out sound and strong winds.

As professional tree surgeons, we know what it takes to keep hedges in Thame, Princes Risborough and the surrounding areas looking at their best all year round. We work with all types of hedges, from conifer to laurel and even box, and have the experience to maintain both formal and informal hedges.

Some of the tasks undertaken by Altom Tree Care Ltd include:

Formal and Informal Hedge Cutting

While formal hedges must remain tight and compact to retain their geometric shape, informal hedges do not require such precision. However, you should always employ professional tree surgeons to avoid informal hedges looking untidy.
Formative Pruning

If you have recently planted a hedge at your property, it will require trimming at least once a year to help it grow into the desired shape. We can also perform hedge shaping and topiary for more mature specimens.
Height Reduction

While some customers simply want to stop their hedge from blocking out too much sunlight, others who live in conservation areas must prevent their hedges from exceeding the approved height restriction placed upon them.
Hedgerow Maintenance

Our tree surgeons undertake hedge cutting services for public, country and roadside hedgerows across Thame, Watlington, Princes Risborough and the surrounding areas.
Planting

Altom Tree Care Ltd offers a comprehensive hedge planting service, from narrow-width to full-size hedging plants, for instant screening. We also plant various options to protect against dogs, rabbits and deer.

Every member of our team shares a dedication to preserving the natural environment. We always aim to recycle up to 100% of the green waste we produce during tree surgery tasks throughout Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Where possible, we also use eco-friendly fuels for our equipment and comply with rules and regulations, such as the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, that protect wildlife. To learn more about ongoing hedge maintenance, ask us about our garden maintenance contracts.
